Ahh, music, what an odd thing. It's so simple but amazingly complex and weird, I mean have you seen music
theory? This is probably the hobby I have spent the most time on, if you include listening to it,
collecting
it, and attempting to make it, I probably "lossed" at least like 10,000 hours on it throughout my
existence.
If you didn't already read it on the main page of the 'site, I listen to primaraly vaporwave. Whats
vaporwave you ask? WELL I'LL TELL YOU. Vaporwave is a genre that originated
from the interwebs... hey, thats what you're on right now! So cool! The exact origins is unknown
(here's a pretty cool video
about it), but I
would say the "first" vaporwave album is Chuck
Person's Eccojamms. Vaporwave is a plunderphonic genre
meaning it's a genre that mostly consists of pre-existing media and in vaporwave's case is usually songs
from the 80s/90s, largly for the nolstalgia
factor. It will
use said songs from the 80s/90s and slow it down, drench it in effects,
usually tons of reverb, chop and screw it and make a undescribable experience.
Vaporwave has been described as giving a "out-of-body"
experience, at least at first, the genre has evolved into many sub genres that all have similar, but
different feels. Some of my notable personal favorites are:
future
funk, slushwave, and barber beats, but I love pretty
much all of vaporwave...for some reason.
I honestly really have no idea why I like vaporwave so much when it's talored around 80s/90s nolstalgia,
guess I really just like the vibe, idk. Something about the chopped and screwed nature of vaporwave just
scratches a really good itch for me and so does all of the effects. Good thing it's not a bad thing to
like something :P
Although, at times I do wish I had a more mainstream taste in music, really just so I can relate with
other people's music tastes, I mean, how do I tell someone that I unironically listen to this?
Anyways, below are the albums that I DEFINITELY DON'T OWN ON BANDCAMP BECAUSE I AM NOT OLD ENOUGH TO
HAVE A BANDCAMP ACCOUNT, please go ahead and click on a few and give them a listen, or hell, even go
ahead and support the artist and buy the album for yourself!
oh and the css may be a tad broken/jankey, and a lot of the albums have no comments from me yet,
sorry about that, not going to fix it tho, shits
already taken enough time (the jankey css, not the comments).

This is it.
This is THE album that singlehandedly shaped the majority of my music taste into the other
garbage
you see on your screen currently. It was the first ever vaporwave album that I've listened to, and
was FAR
from the last (which is, as of writing this, is Nobody Here:
'Eccos of the Past'). This album is a gateway drug. It has led my way to this absolutely
beautiful, if not, indescribable genre. The amount of delight I found from what led after
this album in uncountable. I sincerely thank you, Ryan, for not only making some absolutely
amazing music, but also indirectly leading me to this criminally underrated genre.
Oh and the album is amazing as well.
This is probably the album I would show you if you asked me what kind of music do you listen to,
half because of the text up ^there^, and because its a pretty boppin' album. Actually kinda sounds
like music, unlike whats going on over there >>> (just kidding, I love you nmesh!).
Hit Vibes has a
nice, refreshing sound, it sounds like a glass of aged, cherry pepsi... I can't find a better way to
describe it. It's sweet, tasty, cool, and addictive. Very few albums can match its perfect
mix of Hit and Vibe. I coudn't have picked a better album to start my journey.

If listening to vaporwave feels like a dream, than this album would be considered a fever dream. Filled to the brim with samples from movies and tv shows, and probably tons of references that I'm not getting, this is one of the few ambient albums that I actively enjoy. Gives off strong "I shouldn't be here, but here I am, anyways" with a nice shot of jet lag while driving back home from your vacation. Love the transition from "DΞΞP COMΛ™ SKKY Diving" to "If I Tell You That I'm Happy", it like whiplashes your tired self instantly into breakdancing on the dancefloor. Very glad I was able to get this release on tape.
